Each year for at least the last three decades, MIT and the Cambridge mayor’s office have co-hosted a free lunch for about 1,000 senior citizens from Cambridge. This year's event was held Wednesday, May 15, at the Johnson Athletic Center. Mayor Henrietta Davis and Paul Parravano, co-director of MIT's Office of Government and Community Relations, offered welcoming comments, and local students from the National Honor Society were on hand to assist. Food was provided by the MIT Faculty Club, and entertainment was provided by a disc jockey and raffle; the Eric Royer Band; Pauline Carter-Wells singing the national anthem; and line-dance instructor Art Sullivan.
