Sixteen energetic teams of first-year students have been busy in Department of Mechanical Engineering course 2.00B (Toy Product Design), creating new toys inspired by the theme of “intrigue.” Toys include new twists on water pistols, a balance bike, a famous Greek monster, and more.
The MIT community and members of the public are invited to PLAYsentations on Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 10-250 to see the students bring their work to life through original skits illustrating each toy’s play experience. After the show, there will be a cookies-and-milk reception in Lobby 10 and an opportunity to interact with students and toys.
The PLAYsentations and reception are kid-friendly, and adult guests are welcome to bring children. Doors to the venue open at 7 p.m., and PLAYsentations start at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
