With MIT President Susan Hockfield as the featured speaker, the Quarter Century Club (QCC) inducted 174 new members during an spring luncheon at the MIT Faculty Club.
The QCC comprises faculty, administrative, research, support and service staff with 25 years of employment with the Institute. The QCC provides an opportunity for members to meet and socialize and promote good fellowship among longterm associates of our community.
QCC President Yvonne L. Gittens welcomed new members and provided the history of the QCC during the event. Also on hand to welcome inductees were members of the QCC Board of Directors; Wayne Turner, director of business partnerships, employee relations and operations with MIT Human Resources; and QCC members with 50 years of service.
This year’s class of 174 new members includes 94 inductees from the Cambridge campus, 75 from Lincoln Laboratory and five from Haystack Observatory. There are currently 4,054 members of the club.
