The MIT Libraries are members of Borrow Direct, a partnership that offers MIT students, faculty and staff access to nearly 50 million items from the libraries of Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.
The Borrow Direct service is now live, and materials can be requested online through MIT’s WorldCat. After authenticating through MIT Touchstone, simply request materials from Borrow Direct partner libraries by selecting the button that says “Request via Borrow Direct (3-5 days).”
Many materials are pulled from library shelves and shipped by partner libraries the same day that they are requested, then shipped to MIT through express shippers within a few days. Requested items can be picked up at the MIT library of your choice. See MIT’S Worldcat FAQ for more information.
