Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is now offering Microsoft Office Professional licenses at no cost to MIT students through the Institute's Microsoft Campus Agreement (MSCA).
Centrally funded Microsoft Office licenses have been available to MIT faculty, staff and departments through the MSCA since 2004. In response to numerous requests, IS&T aggressively renegotiated MIT's MSCA to include coverage for students. Departments, labs and centers that have funded Microsoft Office for their students under the MSCA will no longer need to do so.
Under the new agreement, each MIT student is entitled to install Microsoft Office on one personally owned machine. Students can download the software from the Microsoft Campus Agreement for Office download site (certificates required).
