The Edgerton Center's outreach program for teenage girls, "You Go Girl!" provides hands-on experience and exploration of technology to teenagers who might otherwise never encounter this type of activity. In this tableau, African instruments called thumb pianos are built from scratch. Yasmine Zaouche (left and below left), 13, who was visiting for the summer from Tunisia, works on her thumb piano, with a little help from another pair of hands (below top). Below, bottom left, is Maddie Carrette, 14, of Concord and at right is Leonora Pepper, 14, of Arlington.
