MIT Vice Chancellor Ian Waitz explains that MIT offers students a “candy store” of learning opportunities, including opportunities for undergraduates to participate in research projects. “We invest a great deal in the students here,” he says.

In a report published by personal-finance website SmartAsset, MIT ranked number one for the third year in a row for best value. "The site ranked colleges by their value, using data about their tuitions, living costs, scholarship and grant offerings, retention rate and graduates’ starting salaries," writes Maria LaMagna for MarketWatch.

The MIT Sloan School of Management is ranked third in Bloomberg Businessweek’s list of the Best Graduate Business Schools of 2017, reports Shahien Nasiripour. “Surveys of recruiters, alumni, and students, as well as recent graduates’ success at landing jobs and securing high starting wages” are used to determine the rank of the schools listed, Nasiripour explains.
