Jeremiah Johnson receives 3M Non-Tenured Faculty Award

Jeremiah Johnson

Jeremiah Johnson, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, has been selected to receive a 3M Nontenured Faculty Award. Johnson was recognized for his creative macromolecular solutions to problems at the interface of chemistry, medicine, biology, and materials science.

The award is administered by 3M’s Research and Development Community in partnership with 3M's Corporate Giving Program. For more than 25 years, the program has recognized outstanding new faculty who were nominated by 3M researchers and selected based on their research, experience and academic leadership.

Johnson was nominated for the award by Dr. Georgiy Teverovskiy, who carried out his PhD studies in Professor Stephen Buchwald’s Group and who is now a researcher at 3M. The purpose of the renewable award is to help the awardee achieve tenure, remain in a teaching position, and conduct research.
