For more than 50 years, the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS) has been supporting the college and university foodservice industry by providing members with valuable resources from benchmarking, best practices, educational programming and professional networking. The NACUFS membership consists of approximately 550 institutions of higher education from across the United States and Canada, and nearly 500 industry members from the food, equipment and consulting market segments.
More than 750 members attended this year's national NACUFS conference, which was held in Boston on July 11-14. MIT was chosen by NACUFS as a tour destination on July 10, the day before the conference officially began, and 100-plus NACUFS members from across the country toured the Institute's house dining and retail dining locations. The visitors were impressed by the diverse offerings made available by MIT Dining and its 17 dining partners throughout more than 30 unique campus dining locations.
