Supply Chain Operations recently named 10 "Greatest Supply Chain Management Books of All Time," using Google Scholar to find the number of citations for each book. Included on this list are three books from MIT authors, including:
- "The Resilient Enterprise: Overcoming Vulnerability for Competitive Advantage" by Yossi Sheffi, the Elisha Gray II Professor of Engineering Systems;
- "Designing and Managing the Supply Chain: Concepts, Strategies and Case Studies" by David Simchi-Levi, professor of civil and environmental engineering and engineering systems; Philip Kaminsky and Edith Simchi-Levi;
- "Clockspeed: Winning industry control in the age of temporary advantage" by Charles Fine, the Chrysler Leaders for Manufacturing Professor in the MIT Sloan School of Management.
