Members of the MIT community are invited to visit with more than 135 suppliers of goods and services on Sept. 24 at the MIT VPF Provider Fair, which combines the annual Procurement Vendor Fair and the Travel Fair into a single event. Suppliers at the fair will display products such as scientific/laboratory supplies, office supplies, hotel, airline, and travel agencies, copier equipment, computers, furniture and more, and will be available to answer questions.

The fair gives suppliers and attendees a chance to discuss how to achieve MIT's supplier-consolidation goal of reducing costs while enhancing the quality of goods and services. The provider fair is a great opportunity to also meet MIT's internal providers.

The event will take place under a tent on McDermott Court (outside Building 54 and Building 18) from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. rain or shine. Refreshments will be available. For more information, please contact Mike McNamara at mcnamara@mit.edu.

The event is organized by VPF Sourcing, Travel and Procurement Services, a new administrative entity at MIT that is developing new strategic sourcing capabilities for the Institute. The goal is to reduce the total cost of purchased products and services by leveraging MIT's combined purchasing power without compromising quality.
