MIT will celebrate America Recycles Day with an adult clothing swap and recycling drop-off in Lobby 13 on Friday, Nov. 13.
Bring in your gently used, clean clothes and swap them for something else, or just leave them for someone else to enjoy.
The swap will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. Bins will also be available for single-stream recycling, battery recycling, and more. MIT items under 50 pounds will be accepted — no items from home, please.
Community members may begin dropping off both clothing and items for recycling at 8 a.m.
Also at Friday’s event, learn about the work of the Working Group Recycling Committee (WGR), Department of Facilities and the Undergraduate Association Sustainability Group — organizations that are encouraging the community to reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink and conserve.
