'Extraordinary Perceptual Dilemmas and the Madness of Climbing'
(2003), one of several recent videos by New York-based sculptor and video artist
Chris Doyle, is on view at the Media Test Wall in Building 56 through Tuesday,
May 30. The work was created for an exhibition in East Hampton, N.Y., a popular
resort town whose longtime residents often describe the area's past in idyllic
terms. Doyle uses an old-movie feel and a profusion of images to conjure the
dark side of paradise.
