The MIT Computational and Systems Biology Initiative (CSBi) will hold its 2003 annual conference, "From Bioinformatics to Biofabrication," Jan. 9-10 in Wong Auditorium. Robert T. Sauer, the Salvador E. Luria Professor of Biology and head of the Department of Biology, and Alice Gast, associate provost and vice president for research, will give an overview of systems and computational biology at MIT. Douglas Lauffenburger, the Whitaker Professor of Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biology and co-director of the MIT Biological Engineering Division, will give a broad perspective on the field.
