Kikuchi presents work at Mobius gallery
Hiroko Kikuchi, the education/outreach coordinator for the List Visual Arts Center, is one of more than 20 artists taking part in "FRAG" at Evos Arts (98 Middle St. in Lowell) through May 31. Her installation titled "The Garden Project: Whose Property is in the Dark?" questions how one finds and deals with void in a given space while addressing philosophy, aesthetics and semiotics of the Japanese garden. "Mobius 25," an anniversary celebration of Boston's oldest artist-run center for experimental work at 354 Congress St. in Boston, takes place May 28-31 and June 4-7. With a different program each night, presenters include Kikuchi (May 29 at 8 p.m.) and Jennifer Johnson and Kristin Johnson (June 4 at 8 p.m.), both gallery attendants at the List Visual Arts Center. Whitney to perform piano concert June 4
Bill Whitney, administrative assistant to the vice president for research, will present an Artist Behind the Desk concert on Wednesday, June 4 at noon in Killian Hall. Whitney, a classically trained pianist and a theater artist since the age of 13, has performed in, directed or music-directed nearly 75 productions. Whitney is in his third season as a script reader and selector for the O'Neill Music Theatre Conference in Waterford, Conn.
