New England Conservatory graduate Staff Sgt. Gregory D. Ridlington leads the newly formed saxophone quartet of the US Marine Band when it performs at MIT on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. in Killian Hall. The Washington-based ensemble will present the Boston premiere of "Quartet for Saxophones" by MIT Lecturer Curtis Kneeland Hughes, as well as arrangements of works by Duke Ellington and bluegrass standards.
