MIT's Gamelan Galak Tika begins its 10th concert season with a presentation of the gamelan experience in its preferred environment: the outdoors. On Wednesday, July 10 at 6 p.m. at Cambridge's University Park Common (45-75 Sidney St.), the ensemble will perform traditional music and dance, featuring a showcase of the intricate and compelling Balinese dance style with works composed by gamelan members including the group's artistic director, Professor Evan Ziporyn . The rain date is July 11.
