Michael C. Ruettgers, executive chairman of EMC Corp., will speak at MIT as part of the Industry Leaders Seminar on Wednesday, May 2 at 4pm in Wong Auditorium. The title of his talk -- hosted by the Office of Corporate Relations and the Center for Technology, Policy and Industrial Development -- is "Managing for the Next Big Thing in an Information-Intensive Economy."
EMC, headquartered in Hopkinton, MA, is a leading provider of intelligent enterprise storage systems, software and services. Mr. Ruettgers has been with the company for more than 10 years, the last seven as president and CEO. Under his leadership, EMC has grown from a $400-million company in 1992 to a $4-billion Fortune 500 global enterprise in 1998.
