MIT will hold the following events on Wednesday, September 12th, 2001. The entire MIT community is invited to attend.
CLOSED - MIT blood drive - Thanks to high turnout, the MIT blood drive has reached its full capacity to accept donors today. However, The American Red Cross still invites the MIT community members to donate blood tomorrow, September 13th, 2001 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Student Center.
3 p.m. - MIT community gathering - Killian court - an assembly to share our feelings, support each other as members of the community, and draw strength from our common sense of purpose and caring.
5 p.m. - Public forum on national security - E25-111 - The Center for International Studies will hold a public forum on yesterday's events. Speakers will include MIT Political Science Professors Richard Samuels, Stephen Van Evera, and Barry Posen, all of whom are national security experts. They will take questions and attempt to help the community make sense of recent events.
7 p.m. - The MIT Public Service Center staff will be available this evening from 7-9 PM in the Bush Room (10-105) to discuss fundraising plans for the families of the victims who died in yesterday's tragedy. People are also welcome to stop by the PSC (W20-547) from 9:30AM-5PM on other days to join in this effort.
