��������� An engineered nose and heart tissue developed at MIT are featured in a PBS television special on increasing longevity that's now airing around the country. "Never Say Die," an episode of the Scientific American Frontiers series hosted by Alan Alda, looks at aging and how to avoid it.
The MIT work appears in a section on replacement body parts. Professor Robert Langer of chemical engineering is interviewed at length. Also in the story are Drs. Lisa Freed and Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic of the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Dr. Vunjac-Novakovic appears on the show's web site as well, where members of the public can ask her questions.
